I have become an ebay junkie.
I am not afraid to admit it, but I’m also not afraid to say that it GIVES just as much as it TAKES.
I have been making sales left and right, and I have been making purchases too.
Christmas is just around the corner, people!
What better way to try to support your local businesses too than by seeing which ones are on ebay, Etsy, or even Amazon? Just do a little digging, or better yet, ask your local businesses if they’re online too?
I know of one local business you can look at right now!
Bonnie’s Bargains. Bonnie is a local lady, in my neck of the woods, who is a bargain hunter. She and I both delve through estate sales, garage sales, and thrift stores for hidden gems to post on ebay for your buying pleasure.
Honesty, I don’t know which is better, hunting for those gems or making the sale online.
Between writing and the ebay store, if I can manage to make enough money off both, I would quite my day-job in a heartbeat, and I would be completely happy.
Here are some other online, locally owned shops I have discovered.
Earth Girl Designs on Etsy, and she also has a physical store in Tupper Lake, NY. She sells beautifully handcrafted jewelry, gemstones, air-plants, smudging tools and more, but her Etsy shop is mainly for her jewelry.
Get my friend, Lorena Wood’s, Kindle trilogy Vibrations on Amazon if you’re in the mood for a little paranormal magic, and sultry romance.
Or take a look at my father, B. B. Luxford’s books Green Dawg & Rivah Dawg for some suspenseful and, often times humorous, entertainment.
Or if you’re in the mood to get away from the screen get up, get out, and go check out your local bookstores, gift shops, and clothing stores.
Support your local dandelions and spread the word!
